The age of information

Companies looking to grow their awareness in the digital world of social cim-septmedia are faced with not one colossal task, but multiple obstacles before they can create a solution that even begins to contend with the great and the good. And as always, many of us will have strong views on what really makes them tick.

It’s no longer simply just a case of designing a website, an ezine newsletter and a blog post forum. Today’s mobile search technologies have become enormously powerful and feeding information to engineers ‘on the go’ requires a design solution that enables your platform to be viewed not only on a standard desktop computer, but on multiple devices and platforms too.

Alongside established stable mate titles Production Engineering Solutions and Aerospace Manufacturing, Composites in Manufacturing now joins a new initiative from MIT Publishing that will hopefully satisfy the ever-increasing demand for digital media.

Our eLibrary (www.e-lib.co.uk) multi-platform, online resource is dedicated to hosting educational, informative and/or commercial content, such as company brochures, white papers covering the latest advances in composite materials R&D and videos displaying the merits of new manufacturing techniques. It works in many ways like a search engine – type in the generic term and information relating to the search term will be displayed.

Still within the realm of the digital domain, you can now register to receive Composites in Manufacturing’s new quarterly ezine newsletter. Our hope is that it will go a long way to helping to build a community of like-minded composites professionals. Indeed, along with our Twitter feed, the newsletter will form a vital part of an extensive composite materials-led social media platform.
