SCIGRIP Europe enters phase of growth and investment

As a measure to facilitate future growth, SCIGRIP, a global supplier of smarter adhesives solutions, has announced investment in an expanding sales team and the appointment of Polish distributor, Milar.

SCIGRIP has completed a site upgrade at their UK facility to prepare for a ramp up in production of a number of specialised adhesives later this year.

Changes to its sales force include the promotion of Tim Johnson to European sales and marketing manager and the recent appointment of Chris Coll as business development manager. Chris joins SCIGRIP from Ashland and has experience with structural adhesives in the automotive, transport and construction markets. Chris will be responsible for sales within the UK and strategic regions around Europe.

To maximise business opportunities in Poland and the Baltic States, SCIGRIP has secured a distribution agreement with Milar. Milar is a subsidiary of the German owned ‘Biesterfeld Group’ and they possess over 25 years of experience in the distribution of high quality specialty chemicals coupled with a very technically accomplished salesforce.

At SCIGRIP’s UK site in Washington, Newcastle, an extensive upgrade programme is almost complete. This will facilitate the large scale production of a number of specialist products in greater volumes and will dramatically reduce lead times for European customers.

Tim Johnson, European and sales marketing manager commented: “These latest advancements are part of a broader vision to drive our sales presence within Central and Eastern Europe. It is an exciting time as SCIGRIP Europe penetrates new markets to offer a more diverse range of structural and assembly adhesives and services than ever before”.
