Shape machines bespoke CNC jigs to increase productivity

Shape is continuing to provide engineering and manufacturing solutions for trimming, bonding and inspection fixtures.

This particular fixture was designed and manufactured by Shape and will be used to machine Rohacell foam parts in-house, eliminating hand finishing and allowing Shape to pass this cost saving onto the customer.

Managing director, Ryan Muller, said: “We are really proud of our capability to design and manufacture a variety complex fixtures to use on-site ourselves, or allow the customer to use these for processing parts at their factories. Through close collaboration we ensure that either is possible for a seamless transfer from prototype to series production.”

Shape provides engineering, design, tooling and manufacturing services in a wide range of sectors that use carbon fibre, with extensive in-house manufacturing & R&D facilities to allow a wide range of projects to be delivered right first time and on time.

Muller added: “Our engineering team have the competency to design affordable prototyping fixtures all the way to full metallic/tooling block hybrid vacuum fixtures for series production”.
