Scott Bader has announced a new partnership with Stockmeier Quimica for the distribution of its Texique bio-based additives for the personal care market in Spain and Portugal.

Stockmeier Quimica will distribute Scott Bader’s Texique product range which consists of bio-based thickeners and natural cationic starch derivates. The Texique range can be used in a wide range of formulations for personal care products including hair care, skin care and male grooming.

Scott Bader’s range of bio-based personal care ingredients are both sustainable and high-performing. A good example is their Texique HE additive series, which contain surfactants and oils derived from vegetables rather than established synthetic ingredients which are used by many products in the personal care market. They are also ethylene oxide (EO) free, Vegan friendly and Halal certified, making them ideal formulation choices for viscosity and sensory perfection.

The Stockmeier Group has been a family-run company for three generations. In 100 years, it has grown from a regional trading firm to an international group with over 1,900 employees and more than 50 locations worldwide.

César Villalba, managing director of Stockmeier Química, is looking forward to the future working relationship: "Scott Bader is an excellent fit for us. We have matching values and a common understanding of the business. We have an excellent basis to further develop and grow the Stockmeier portfolio.”

Mark Stanion, Scott Bader’s business manager for Functional Polymers, said: “We are excited to be working with the knowledgeable team at Stockmeier Quimica and look forward to working together to bring our bio-based Texique range to personal care formulators in Spain and Portugal.”
