On with the show!

The Composites Engineering show is almost here. As part of the Advanced Engineering 2016 showcase, it’s the UK’s only event dedicated to the composites manufacturing industry. Halls 2, 3 and 3a of the Birmingham NEC will once again throw open their doors to unveil the seventh edition of the very best in manufacturing innovations from this industry.

In terms of overseeing this event, the baton has been passed to global tradeshow operator, Easyfairs. With over 700 exhibiting suppliers, partners and industry bodies expected, Easyfairs will be looking to consolidate this show’s position in creating opportunities that address technologies, processes and supply chain efficiencies to keep UK plc at the forefront of composites manufacturing technology.

An indication of the show’s status within the composites landscape is the fact that Composites UK will hold its annual awards dinner during the event with many exhibitors also attending. Composites in Manufacturing will be sponsoring two awards at the dinner on Wednesday 2nd November at the National Conference Centre (formerly National Motorcycle Museum), tying in nicely with our continuing relationship with the Association as ‘Lead Press Partner’ and helping it spread the success stories taking place within this vibrant industry.

One of the most important features of the aerospace tradeshows I regularly attend is the positive publicity surrounding the contract signings and orders for new aircraft and components. Easyfairs and the UK composites industry will be keen to ensure that similar kinds of lucrative deals become a regularly occurrence at Composites Engineering.

Our best wishes to Easyfairs. An industry looks forward to your showcase event. Put the 2-3 November in your diary and on behalf of Composites in Manufacturing magazine, I look forward to meeting you on our stand (K152) during this pivotal event in the UK’s composites calendar.
