Fiberline Composites is currently in a positive growth phase, and in order to support this development and optimise the core business, Fiberline has decided to appoint its current Chairman of the Board, Ole Arenfeldt Jensen, as new CEO. Ole Arenfeldt Jensen has been a member of the Board since 2006 and Chairman since 2008.
At the same time, Thorning, the existing CEO and co-owner of Fiberline, will become the new Chairman of the Board. The reshuffle reflects Thorning's wish to focus on Fiberline's strategy development and global partnerships aimed at ensuring continued exploitation of market potential.
Thorning has overseen vigorous growth in recent years and has implemented two key strategic joint ventures with Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation of Japan and Schöck of Germany.
The purpose of the reshuffle is to raise the company's industrialisation level, meet rising demands from the market, and not least increase earnings to fund future growth.
It is intended that Fiberline's strong performance in the technical disciplines will now be complemented by equally strong financial performance. This will be realised through close collaboration between Ole Arenfeldt Jensen and Thorning based on Thorning's profound insight into the potential and application of glass and carbon fibre composite, and its development together with selected global partners, and Ole Arenfeldt Jensen's strong leadership skills, ability to motivate all areas of the company, and experience with industrialising, running and optimising businesses.
“I know Peter and the Thorning family and I am impressed with their insight, engagement and innovative DNA,” stated Ole Arenfeldt Jensen. “The Thorning family also have some strong ethical and human values which I fully endorse. I am very grateful and delighted at the great trust shown to me by the Thorning family, and I look forward to the challenges and to our work together.”
Thorning added: “Ole has in-depth knowledge of Fiberline from more than 10 years on our Board of Directors. With his experience of successfully running large industrial companies, together with his managerial approach and the values on which it is based, Ole is an ideal choice to lead Fiberline. On behalf of the Thorning family I am delighted that Ole has agreed to accept this challenge, and I look forward to continuing and accelerating the positive development which Fiberline is currently experiencing.”
