CIMComp EPSRC to exhibit at the Advanced Engineering show

The EPSRC Future Composites Manufacturing Research Hub will be returning this year to exhibit at the Advanced Engineering UK show, taking place on 2–3 November 2022 at the NEC, Birmingham.

The Hub will be located in hall 3A, on stand Q134. Attendees can visit the team and speak with our business development managers; Dr Simon Quinn, University of Bristol and James Whyman, University of Nottingham.

The Hub is expecting to expand awareness of its fundamental research in automated composites manufacturing technologies, taking place across the UK at 16 academic partners. Outcomes from Core Projects will showcase valuable insight into the development of automated composite innovation, to help underpin the growth potential of the UK composites sector by enhancing process science and technology.

Attendees will have the chance to discuss the Hub’s five priority areas, including:

  • High-rate deposition and rapid processing technologies.
  • Design for manufacture via validated simulation.
  • Manufacturing for multifunctional composites and integrated structures.
  • Inspection and in-process evaluation.
  • Recycling and re-use.

Dr Lee Harper, Hub manager said: “We are excited to return for another year of the Advanced Engineering Show. Expectations are set for a thought-provoking series of discussions around our process developments in automated manufacturing. We are looking forward to inviting our partners old and new to stand Q134.”
