Global Product Development Specialist ARRK has announced the opening of a new paint spraying facility at its Composites Centre in Nuneaton, UK.

Nuneaton’s general manager, Paul Patterson, sees the introduction of ARRK’s new paint spraying service as an important step in enhancing our range of in-house capabilities for customers who require a tailored composite solution.

Patterson commented: “We identified a growing demand in the market place for such a service, as customers continue to embrace the use of composites. With this in mind, we recruited Ian Stevens, with his extensive experience in this field, to head up our operation. Ian has, in turn, brought on board a team of skilled paint sprayers and finishers.”

ARRK has invested in a new 15m2 Dalby Genesis Q Spray booth, along with a number of preparation and polishing rooms, and a dedicated mixing room. In addition to the five new recruits, Patterson and Stevens have been keen to invest in high quality equipment to ensure the delivery of premium painted components which can be anything from composites through to partial models for show events. Although the company sees the primary demand for this service coming from the local automotive OEM’s, it is well equipped to accommodate many other, different industries and their demands.

The new facility was officially opened by ARRK Corporation’s president, Yasuo Suzuki, who is currently on a tour of ARRK’s engineering, prototyping, tooling and low volume production companies around Europe. The ARRK Corporation, with its global headquarters in Osaka, Japan, sees composite solutions as a key growth area for the Nuneaton site, and for ARRK globally.
